Accommodations
Full-service accommodations are available in the small town of Crawford, ten minutes from Mirador, at The Hitching Post hotel, and several B&Bs including The Stone House Inn. Nearby towns of Hotchkiss and Paonia also have options.
Tent camping is available on the grounds of the sanctuary, power is available for one RV, and a yurt sleeps one to four in the woods just west of the house. Bathroom facilities for all guests are currently located in the house.
Tent and RV camping are also available ten minutes away at Crawford State Park (full-hookup), and Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park (no power or hookups)
a half-hour drive from Mirador.
YURT
A short stroll from the house, the 20-foot diameter yurt includes one double bed and an optional inflatable bed, with ample room for sleeping bags. Three screened windows with closure flaps and a skylight dome allow for temperature and privacy flexibility.
TENT CAMPING
Visitors may pitch a tent in a number of designated spots throughout the woods, or select their own space with approval.
